2,364. Overly Salted
Maachalos Assuros 9:18
If something is salted so much that it can’t be eaten, is considered as if it were boiling. If it can be eaten “as is” like kutach (the name of a salty dip), it is not considered boiling.
Maachalos Assuros 9:19
Let’s say that a bird that was slaughtered fell into milk, or into kutach that contains milk. If the bird is uncooked, it only has to be washed well and it’s permitted. If it was roasted, one must remove its surface. If it has cracks in its surface or if it’s spiced and it fell into milk or kutach, then it’s prohibited.
