2,335. Blood and Keilim

Maachalos Assuros 6:20

One may not cut hot meat using a knife with which ritual slaughter was performed unless the knife was heated in fire until it turned white, sharpened with a sharpener or inserted ten times into hard ground. If one did cut hot meat with such a knife, it is permitted b’dieved (after the fact). Similarly, one may not cut radishes or other sharp foods with such a knife l’chatchila (at the outset). If the knife was washed or cleaned with some utensil, one may use it to cut radishes and such, but not hot meat.

Maachalos Assuros 6:21

If meat was salted in a bowl, even if the bowl was coated with lead, it is perpetually prohibited to eat hot food from it because the blood was absorbed in the clay.
