2,251. Relations Outside
Hilchos Issurei Biah 21:14
A man is not permitted to engage in intimacy with his wife in the marketplace, in the streets, in gardens or in orchards. Rather, they may only do so in a house so that it won’t look like promiscuity and they won’t get used to behaving promiscuously. If a man is intimate with his wife in such places, he should be given stripes for acting rebelliously. Similarly, if a man betroths a woman through marital intimacy in the marketplace, or if he does so without first having the marriage arranged, he should be given stripes for acting rebelliously.
Hilchos Issurei Biah 21:15
A guest may not engage in marital intimacy until he returns home. The Sages prohibited a man from living in his father-in-law’s house because this is brazen behavior. Similarly, a man may not enter a bathhouse with his father-in-law.
