2,250. Improper Relations
Hilchos Issurei Biah 21:12
The Sages prohibited a man from engaging in marital intimacy with his wife while thinking about another woman. He may likewise not engage in intimacy while drunk, nor while they’re fighting, nor out of hatred. He may not coerce or intimidate his wife into having relations, nor may they be intimate while one of them is under a ban of excommunication. A man may not be intimate with his wife after he has decided to divorce her. If he does so, any children born of that union will not possess good character traits; some will be brazen, while others will be rebellious and corrupt.
Hilchos Issurei Biah 21:13
The Sages likewise said that if a bold woman demands relations, if a man seduces a woman in order to get married, if he intended to have relations with one wife and instead had relations with another wife, or if a woman doesn’t wait three months after her husband’s death to remarry and gives birth to a son whose paternity is in doubt – in all of these cases, children born will be rebellious and corrupt; they will be purified by the suffering endured in exile.
