2,229. The Descendants of a Chalal
Hilchos Issurei Biah 19:13
If an Ammonite convert or a second-generation Egyptian convert marries a woman who was born Jewish, their marital intimacy violates a Torah prohibition and the woman is rendered a halachic zonah as has been explained. Despite this, their daughters may marry kohanim even lechatchila (ab initio).
Hilchos Issurei Biah 19:14
If a chalal marries a woman of fit lineage, their children are chalalim. This also applies to the son of his son’s son and so on, even for 1,000 generations, because the son of a chalal is always a chalal. If the child is a girl, she may not marry a kohein because she’s a chalalah. If a Yisroel (an Israelite) marries a chalalah, their children are fit and if one of them is a girl, she may marry a kohein.
