3,759. Israel est omnis divisa in partes tres
Hilchos Shemittah v’Yoveil 7:9
When it comes to the removal of shemittah produce, Israel is divided into three parts: (1) all of Judea, including its mountains, plain and valley; (2) all of Transjordan, including the plain of Lud, the mountains around it, and from Beis Choron to the sea; and (3) the whole Galilee, upper Galilee, lower Galilee, and the area surrounding Tiberias. One may eat a species of shemittah produce that he has in his house until that type of produce is completely gone in the fields of his region.
Hilchos Shemittah v’Yoveil 7:10
For example, let’s say that someone has produce in Judea. He may eat it so long as that species can be found in the fields anywhere in Judea. The same is true if one has produce from the Galilee or from Transjordan.
