3,760. Transporting Produce From One Region to Another

Hilchos Shemittah v’Yoveil 7:11

The three geographical areas discussed in the preceding halachos are considered a single area when it comes to carobs, olives and dates. A person may eat dates anywhere in Israel until dates cease to be available in Tzoar. They cease to be available at Purim. Olives may be eaten until Shavuos, grapes until Pesach of the eighth year, and dried figs until Chanukah.

Hilchos Shemittah v’Yoveil 7:12

If someone brings shemittah produce from a region where it’s no longer available in the field to one where it is, or vice versa, it must be removed. This is because we place upon a person both the stringencies of where he came from and the stringencies of where he went to. If shemittah produce was brought from Israel to another land, it must be destroyed where it is (rather than returned to Israel); it may not be brought from place to place.
