#113: Lechem Mishneh (Part 5)
- If two challot are baked in one pan but become stuck together, or touch, during the baking process, most poskim hold they are considered two challot for lechem mishneh.
- Some write that these two challot which merged may be used as they are without cutting them first (Chut Shani; Piskei Teshuvot 274:9, according to the strict halacha). Others maintain they should be separated first before using them as two loaves (Shemirat Shabbat K’hilchatah 55:6). If separating, one should be careful not to cut off part of one together with the other.
