#113: Lechem Mishneh (Part 5)

  1. If two challot are baked in one pan but become stuck together, or touch, during the baking process, most poskim hold they are considered two challot for lechem mishneh.
  2. Some write that these two challot which merged may be used as they are without cutting them first (Chut Shani; Piskei Teshuvot 274:9, according to the strict halacha). Others maintain they should be separated first before using them as two loaves (Shemirat Shabbat K’hilchatah 55:6). If separating, one should be careful not to cut off part of one together with the other.
