2,927. Putting Aside a Blemished Animal

Hilchos Nezirus 9:5

If someone put a blemished animal aside for his offering, it’s the same as if he put money aside without earmarking it. The same is true if he put aside a bar of silver or gold or some utensil. This is true even if he says, “This is for my burnt offering, my sin offering and my peace offering.”

Hilchos Nezirus 9:6

Let’s say that someone says, “This money is for my sin offering and what’s left from that is for my nezirus offering,” after which he dies, or a woman made this statement, after which her husband voided her nazirite vow. In such a case, the money for the sin offering is brought to the Dead Sea (i.e., destroyed). Half of the surplus is used towards a burnt offering and half towards a peace offering.
