362. The Special Parshas in Non-Consecutive Weeks

Tefillah u’Birkas Kohanim 13:21

There will be times when there will be a gap in between the first Shabbos with a special parsha and the second, or between the second and the third. Sometimes there will be two gaps, both between the first and second and between the second and third. However, there is never a gap in between the third Shabbos and the fourth.

Tefillah u’Birkas Kohanim 13:22

Each one of the four special maftirs should be read from a second Torah scroll after reading the regular weekly Torah portion from the first scroll. If Rosh Chodesh Adar fell on Shabbos and the regular Torah portion is parshas Tetzaveh, six people read from Tetzaveh until “He made the copper basin.” The seventh person reads from the second scroll and repeats the reading of Ki Tisa through “He made the basin.” If the weekly Torah portion is Ki Tisa itself, six people read from Ki Tisa until Vayakhel. The seventh person reads from the second scroll and repeats the reading of Ki Tisa until “He made the copper basin.”
