302. Morning Blessings - part 2

Tefillah u’Birkas Kohanim 7:6

When fastening his belt, one recites, “…Who girds Israel with strength.”

When putting on his shoes, one recites, “…Who has provided all my needs.”

When departing on his way, one recites, “…Who prepares the steps of man.”

One should also recite the following brachos each day: “…Who has not made me a non-Jew,” “…Who has not made me a woman”* and “…Who has not made me a slave.”

*(Women recite, “…Who has formed me according to His will.”)

Tefillah u’Birkas Kohanim 7:7

The eighteen morning brachos do not have to be recited in a particular order. Rather, one recites each of them as he finds himself in the situation for which the bracha was established. Therefore, if a person puts on his belt while still in his bed, he recites “…Who girds Israel with strength.” If he then hears the rooster crow, he recites “…Who gives understanding,” etc. If one does not do one of these things, he does not recite the bracha corresponding to that thing.
