4,158. Vessels That Need Not Be Cleansed

Hilchos Maasei Hakarbanos 8:13

The preceding halachos (about cleansing the vessels in which sin offerings were cooked) apply when the meat was cooked in the vessels after the blood has been properly sprinkled. If one cooked the meat in these vessels before sprinkling the blood, or if he cooked the meat of sin offerings that are burned, the vessels need not be cleansed in the manner described. If someone cooked sin-offering meat in only part of a vessel, the whole vessel must be cleansed in the manner described.

Hilchos Maasei Hakarbanos 8:14

There is a doubt regarding when meat from an offering was roasted in the airspace of an earthenware oven. Some say the oven must be destroyed because the meat was cooked in it, while others opine that it need not be destroyed because the meat didn’t touch it. This question doesn’t only apply to sin offerings. Rather, all utensils that were used for offerings with hot water – both offerings of greater sanctity and those of lesser sanctity – must be thoroughly washed and rinsed after the eating. Similarly, a spit and a grill must be purged after the eating; they are not left until one wishes to use them again. Rather, when the eating is finished, one purges the grill and the spit and washes and rinses the vessel, be it of metal or of earthenware. The exception is when it comes to the meat from a sin offering, for which an earthenware vessel in which it was cooked is broken. However, one may cook in the vessel multiple times, be it of metal or of earthenware. It can be washed and rinsed until the end of the eating period.
