#351: Choleh She’ein Bo Sakanah: Explanation and Examples
1. We mentioned yesterday that a choleh she’ein bo sakanah refers to one who is bedridden or whose whole body feels weak. A person is defined as a choleh she’ein bo sakanah if he or she feels significantly ill, even if she manages to stay on her feet. Since she must muster an exceptional amount of strength to do so, she is still defined as bedridden (Chut Shani 4:89).
2. Other examples of this category include:
a. One sick with the flu
b. One’s whole body feels weak and sluggish, such as with severe diarrhea
c. One suffering from extreme pain
d. Severe fungal infection or painful arthritis flair-up
e. One with a severe migraine headache
