4,028. Blemishes Only of People

Hilchos Bias HaMikdash 8:1

There are ninety blemishes that disqualify humans (i.e., kohanim from serving, but not animals for use as offerings), as follows. There are eight of the head: (1) if the center of one’s forehead is depressed as if it had been pushed in manually; (2) if the center of one’s forehead bulges up like an egg; (3) if the sides of one’s head extend opposite his face like a hammer; (4) if one’s head extends back opposite his neck; (5) one whose head is so wide that it sits on his neck like a turnip on its leaves; (6) one who is completely bald with no hair whatsoever, but if a row of hair extends from ear to ear behind his head, he is fit; (7) if one’s hair extends from ear to ear on the front of his head, but he’s otherwise bald; (8) if one’s hair circles his whole head front and back but he has no hair on top. This is also considered bald and unable to serve.

Hilchos Bias HaMikdash 8:2

There are two blemishes of the neck: (1) one whose neck is sunken so that his head appears to be directly on his shoulders; (2) one whose neck is so long that it appears suspended above his shoulders.
