3,991. The Forms of Impurity That Render One Culpable
Hilchos Bias HaMikdash 3:13
The forms of impurity that render one culpable for entering the Temple are: one who was unclean with corpse impurity in a way that would require a nazir to shave, which are discussed in Hilchos Nezirus; one who touched a person or a vessel that was rendered unclean through forms of impurity that would require a nazir to shave, which makes a person a second degree of impurity to a first degree of impurity that touched a dead body; one who was rendered unclean through another primary form of impurity described by the Torah, all of which will be discussed IY”H in the proper places.
Hilchos Bias HaMikdash 3:14
The general rule is that anyone who must immerse in a mikvah under Biblical law is liable to the penalty of kareis (spiritual excision) for entering the Temple even after immersing until nightfall. If one was rendered unclean from corpse impurity that would not require a nazir to shave his head, even though he is ritually unclean for seven days, he is exempt from punishment for entering the Temple.
