Hilchos Klei HaMikdash 1:16
Two dry measures were used in the Temple: the issaron* and the half-isaron. The isaron measure was for the flour offering and the half-isaron was to divide the Kohein Gadol’s daily flour offering (which was offered half in the morning and half in the afternoon).
Hilchos Klei HaMikdash 1:17
There were seven liquid measures: the hin,** the half-hin, the one-third hin, the quarter-hin, the log,*** the half-log and the quarter-log (reviis). The half-hin, third of a hin and quarter-hin were used to measure the libations that accompanied the offerings. The log was to measure the oil for the flour offerings, and the half-log was to measure the oil for each lamp of the Menorah. The quarter-log was used to divide the oil for the Kohein Gadol’s aforementioned offering.
*An issaron is about 2.25 liters or 6/10 of a gallon.
**A hin is about 1.25 gallons.
