If Temple vessels get punctured or cracked, the holes aren’t filled. Rather, the utensils are melted down and used to make new utensils.

If the blade of a Temple knife gets separated from its handle or nicked, it isn’t returned to the handle or sharpened. Rather, it is stored away (in the designated chamber) on the side of the Heichal, between the Sanctuary and the entry hall on the south, and a replacement is made. This is because there’s no poverty in a place of affluence.
