#226: Machshavah

The Sefer Yesod Shoresh V’avoda writes that one should make sure not to begin Shabbat while arguing with others or being angry. This is an important point to keep in mind since unfortunately, we all sometimes get especially tense shortly before Shabbat begins. For this reason, the Mishna (Shabbat, ch.2) says that a person should gently ask his family right before Shabbat whether the final preparations have been completed. May we all merit to begin Shabbat properly, and thereby allow ourselves to receive the special bracha of the rest of the day.
