3,633. Changing Your Mind About a Dough
Hilchos Bikkurim 6:13
If dough was first kneaded to be cooked in the sun but then the person ended up baking it as bread, or vice versa, or if roasted flour was kneaded to bake bread – in all of these cases, challah must be taken.
Hilchos Bikkurim 6:14
If bread was baked to make kutach (a condiment of bread and milk), its disposition is determined by the way it was made. If it was made in cakes (which might be served as bread), one must take challah from it; if it was made in strips (which would only be crumbled for kutach), challah need not be taken.
