1,157. Crossbreeding
174:3 The mixed species of a vineyard and the mixed species of a field are not prohibited outside of Israel unless one planted two types of grain or two types of vegetable together with the seed of the vineyard (i.e., grapes).
175:1 It is forbidden to crossbreed a male and a female of two different species. This applies to both domesticated and wild animals, as well as birds. It is forbidden even to be a catalyst to such a union.
