Tamid 3:4-5

Tamid 3:4

They went to the chamber of vessels and brought back 93 silver and gold vessels. They would give the animal for the tamid offering a drink from a gold cup. Even though the animal had been checked before, it was checked again by torchlight.

Tamid 3:5

The kohein who won the lottery to slaughter the tamid would pull the animal after him to the place of slaughtering; those who won the lotteries to handle the limbs followed him. The place of slaughtering was north of the altar. There were eight short columns on top of which were blocks of cedar with fixed iron hooks, three rows each. The animals were hung on these hooks and flayed over marble tables that were between the columns.
