If thieves steal sheep and throw them out of their enclosure, we’re not concerned that their organs may have been crushed because they only throw them intending that they not be damaged. If they return the sheep and throw them back into the enclosure out of fear, then we are concerned. If they brought the sheep back because they want to repent, we are unconcerned because then the thieves want to return them intact, so they’ll be careful.

If an ox is forced to lie down for slaughter, we are not concerned that its organs might have been crushed. This is so even if it fell hard enough to make a loud noise because it plants its hooves and fortifies itself until it falls to the ground.
