2,295. Things Produced by Non-Kosher Animals
Maachalos Assuros 3:1
Any food that is produced by a prohibited species that one is lashed for eating is also prohibited under Biblical law. For example, the milk of a non-kosher domesticated or wild animal, or the eggs of non-kosher birds or fish, as per Leviticus 11:16, “the daughter of the ostrich,” which refers to its egg. The same is true of all species that are prohibited like the ostrich and the things they produce like eggs.
Maachalos Assuros 3:2
Human milk may be consumed even though human meat is prohibited. As discussed earlier, human meat is prohibited by a positive mitzvah.
