2,246. Gazing at One's Own Wife

Hilchos Issurei Biah 21:4

A man is permitted to gaze at his wife while she is a niddah even though she’s a prohibited relation in that state. Even though he derives pleasure from looking at her, since she will become permitted to him, he’s not going to stumble in this matter. He should not, however, joke or act lightheaded with her so that it not accustom him to sin.

Hilchos Issurei Biah 21:5

A man is not permitted to have any woman – a minor, an adult, a servant, a freewoman – perform tasks of a personal nature for him out of concern that it will lead to impure thoughts. Such tasks include washing his face, his hands and his feet, making his bed in front of him and pouring his cup, since these tasks are only performed for a man by his wife. A man shouldn’t inquire as to a woman’s wellbeing at all, not even through a messenger.
