Listening to Slow Music During Sefirah
May I listen to slow music during sefiras ha’omer?
Music should not be listened to during sefira whether it is fast or slow, even though slow music will not stimulate one to dance. However, Rav Belsky zt”l was of the opinion that if one was in a state of moodiness or discontent that he may lift his spirits with the slow music, provided he does not listen excessively. (See פסקי הלכה, Volume One, p. 106).
