Noda B'Yehuda on the Proof Necessary to Deem a Woman an Adulteress (23 Iyar)

A court has decided that a woman was warned and then secluded herself with a man other than her husband, meaning they had to get divorced. Noda Bi-Yehudah points out the rigorous requirements before a court can force a divorce, along the way educating us both about proper conduct in marriage, about the power of courts, and the balance between following the niceties of formal halacha and reaching working communal conclusions.
