#327: Existing Mixtures
1. Losh does not only include forming a mixture from scratch, but may also include adding to an existing mixture. In many cases of thickening an existing mixture, losh may also be violated. In these cases, the halacha depends on what type of mixture it starts as and which shinui is used.
2. Thickening a loose mixture is not usually permitted, since it usually creates a thick mixture (belilah avah). Therefore, the rules for preparing a thick mixture apply. It is permitted only in cases of necessity for Ashkenazim, and only when using 2 shinuim.
