4,019. An Uncircumcised Kohein
Hilchos Bias HaMikdash 6:8
An uncircumcised man is like a member of a foreign nation, as per Ezekiel 44:9: “Any foreigner of uncircumcised heart and uncircumcised flesh (may not enter My Sanctuary)....” Accordingly, an uncircumcised kohein who serves profanes the service and is subject to lashes, just like a non-kohein would be. He is not, however, subject to a Divinely-imposed death.
Hilchos Bias HaMikdash 6:9
A kohein who married a woman he was not permitted to marry may not serve until the court imposes a vow dependent on other people so that it can’t be annulled that he will not persist in this sin. He may then perform the service, after which he must go divorce his wife. Similarly, if he was in the habit of being rendered unclean with corpse impurity, he may not serve until he accepts in court not to do so any longer. If he violated the law by serving before taking the vow or making the commitment, respectively, he does not profane the service. This is so even though the kohein is still married impermissibly.
