#279: Machshavah

Rav Benzion Mutzafi, a well-known contemporary Sephardic rabbinic personality in Israel, writes that one should make sure to utilize every moment of Shabbat properly, since each minute of Shabbat is far more valuable than the equivalent amount of time during the week:

“One should be careful not to waste every hour, minute, and moment of the holy Shabbat. Since every hour on the holy Shabbat is equivalent to 1,700,000 hours during the week.” (Shivat Tzion, Vol.2, 10:22)

Shabbat only comes once a week; let us make sure to properly prepare for it and make the most of every moment.
