3,843. The Menorah
Hilchos Beis HaBechirah 3:1
The design of the Menorah is explicit in the Torah. The stem of the Menorah had four cups, two knobs and two flowers, as per Exodus 25:34: “The Menorah shall have four molded cups, its knobs and its flowers.” There was a third flower near the base of the Menorah, as per Numbers 8:4: “until its base, until its flower.”
Hilchos Beis HaBechirah 3:2
The Menorah stood on three legs. Six branches extended from three more knobs in the Menorah’s stem – three branches on each side. Each branch had three cups, a knob and a flower. They were all carved into almond-shape.
