Hilchos Shemittah v’Yoveil 11:19

If someone gives his ancestral field as a gift, it returns to him in yoveil as per Leviticus 25:13: “A man shall return to his ancestral portion.” This includes giving the land as a gift.

If brothers divide inherited property, they are like buyers, so each one should return his share of the land to the other in yoveil. Doing so does not invalidate their division of the property. Similarly, a firstborn son and a man who has performed yibum (levirate marriage) with his brother’s widow return the share of land that they received in yoveil and take another share in its place.
