3,786. Loans Extended Before and After a Prozbul is Written
Hilchos Shemittah v’Yoveil 9:21
If one person borrowed money from five others, each lender must have his own prozbul written. If five people borrow from one person, a single prozbul suffices for him to collect all his debts.
Hilchos Shemittah v’Yoveil 9:22
If a lender has a prozbul written and subsequently extends another loan, it cannot be collected on the basis of that prozbul. Rather, this loan will be canceled unless he has another prozbul written after giving it. We see that if a loan precedes a prozbul, it is not canceled by shemittah because of ths prozbul; if a prozbul precedes a loan, the loan is canceled by shemittah.
