3,769. Encouraging Non-Jews During Shemittah
Hilchos Shemittah v’Yoveil 8:7
Similarly to the cases in the preceding halacha, a woman may lend a sifter, a strainer, a handmill or an oven to someone who is suspected in matters of shemittah. She may not, however sift or grind with the one who is suspected (as she would then possibly be supporting the misdeed).
Hilchos Shemittah v’Yoveil 8:8
One may encourage non-Jews who work during shemittah, but only with words. For example, if a Jew sees a non-Jew plowing or planting, he may wish him success. This is because non-Jews are not commanded to let the land rest. One may not, however, assist them physically. One may remove honey from a hive with non-Jews and one may join them in a sharecropping agreement for ground that was broken. Non-Jews are not obligated in these rules so they’re not penalized for violating them.
