1,110. Where Not to Immerse

162:4 The woman may not stand on anything while immersing. If the water is very deep and she needs to stand on a step, she must ask a Torah authority.

162:5 A woman should not immerse in a place where there is a concern that people may see her, as this she will cause her to rush and she may not immerse properly. After the fact, if she immersed in such a place and is sure that she did so properly, the immersion is valid.
