1,051. A Couple That is Fighting
Because of the public nature of these posts, we are omitting some of the more graphic details of this chapter. HaShoneh Halachos encourages interested readers to review these laws more fully in the original sources.
150:13 One may not have relations with his wife unless she wants to. If she isn't interested, he may not have relations with her and it is certainly prohibited to force her. Similarly, he may not have relations when he hates her or she hates him, such as if she said to him, "I don't want you," even though she still considers relations acceptable. Similarly, if he decided to divorce her and she doesn't yet know, even if he doesn't hate her, he is not allowed to have relations with her. Likewise, he may not have relations with her when she is sound asleep, when he is drunk, or when she is drunk.
150:14 Guests are not allowed to have marital relations unless the couple are placed together in a private room. Even then, they may not do so on the host's sheets.
