149:6 If a person invites the couple for a meal and he designates a room where they can be alone together alone and rejoice, this is considered like the chuppah and they recite sheva brachos. If not, then they don't even recite "asher bara" and "she'hasimcha b'm'ono."

149:7 If those who attended the wedding later dispersed into several groups, even into different rooms that do not open to where the groom is, each group may nevertheless recite sheva brachos because they are eating at the wedding meal.  The waiters who eat after the wedding meal, however, do not recite sheva brachos.
