1,020. Remarrying

145:3 Even if one has fulfilled his obligation to procreate, he is not permitted to remain without a wife. He should marry a woman who already has children if he can but if he knows that he can no longer father children, it's better for him to marry a woman without children. Similarly, if he already has many children and is concerned that if he marries a woman with children there will be arguments between his children and his wife, he may marry a woman without children. Nevertheless, one is not permitted to remain unmarried out of such a concern.

145:4 If a man married a woman and they were together for ten years without having children, he should divorce her. This is a complicated subject with many different issues.
