1,011. Demanding Honor
143:16 One whose father or mother is senile should do his best to humor them until they pass away. If this is not possible because their condition is too advanced, he should leave them and arrange for others to care for them as necessary.
143:17 A person is not allowed to place a heavy burden on his children by being too demanding regarding his honor as doing so may cause them to violate the law. Rather, he should forgo his honor and overlook their shortcoming, since a parent is able to forgo his honor.
