3,237. Ritually Unclean Terumah
Terumos 2:14
Terumah is given to a kohein regardless of whether it’s ritually clean or unclean. Even if all the grain or wine was rendered unclean before terumah was taken, one must separate the unclean terumah and give it to a kohen as per Numbers 18:8: "Behold, I have given you watch over My terumah" – regardless of its state of purity. The kohanim can eat ritually clean terumah, and they can burn the unclean terumah as fuel; if the unclean terumah is oil, they can be light with it, while unclean terumah of grain can be burned in an oven.
Terumos 2:15
Similarly, if terumas maaser or maaser was rendered unclean, one must separate the terumas maaser in impurity and give it to a kohein for use as fuel.
