Eiruvin 10:6-7

Eiruvin 10:6

A man may not stand in a private or public domain and drink from the other type of domain unless he puts his head and the greater part of his body into the domain from which he drinks. Similarly, one must tithe wine taken from a vat but one may drink without first tithing if he sticks his head and the greater part of his body into the vat. One may catch rainwater in the public domain from gutters that are lower than ten handbreadths from the ground (about 30”) and one may drink from a rainspout in any fashion (i.e., whether in midair or caught in his hands).

Eiruvin 10:7

If a pit of water in the public domain has an embankment of ten handbreadths around it and the window of a house overlooks it, people in the house may draw from it on Shabbos. If a trash heap in the public domain is ten handbreadths high and the window of a house overlooks it, people in the house may spill water onto it on Shabbos.
