Ki Teitzei - Chamishi

New Sickle Snax!

* A worker in a vineyard may eat as many grapes as he likes while on the job, but he may not put them aside to take home.

* A worker in a grain field can pick ears to eat by hand, but he may not use a sickle to reap himself a snack.

* A man may divorce his wife with a document called a get. After he does so, she may marry someone else. The couple may remarry unless she has married someone else in the interim. This is forbidden as an impediment to immoral activity. (If it were permitted, people would be able to engage in "legalized wife-swapping," constantly marrying and divorcing each others' spouses. The inability to return to one's "real" spouse precludes this.)
