About this author

Yosef Miller currently lives in Ramat Bet Shemesh Alef, Israel. He davens at the local shuls, Bais Tefillah (Rabbi David) and Kehillas HaGra (Rabbi Kornfeld). With his wife, he is raising nine children. He teaches a daily 25-minute halacha shiur on the Shulchan Aruch, called Shulchan Aruch Yomi. He works part-time in dentistry, focused on implant and periodontal surgery, as well as medical-legal cases.

Rabbi Miller grew up in Los Angeles, California. He studied in Yeshivat Shalavim in 1993-94. He studied in Yeshiva University 1994-97. Then, he studied in Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary, YU, from 1997-2000 and received semicha; He also received kabbalah in shechitah. He learnt primarily from Rabbi Eliyahu BenHaim and Rabbi Hershel Schachter. While at YU, he authored and disseminated Devash Vechalav on weekly halachos. He later became a dentist and then specialized in periodontics and became board-certified.

Shulchan Aruch Yomi is a daily live shiur that is also heard on Spotify, Apple Podcast, WhatsApp and more. The goals of the program are to complete all four volumes of Shulchan Aruch in six years or fewer; to understand the laws and reasons of the Mechaber and the Rama; and to learn modern psakim and practical applications. Naturally, the Mishna Berura is heavily relied upon for Orach Chaim, as well as other Achronim and modern-day poskim. The shiur is located in Kehillas HaGra.
