Geri Wiener, a product of Los Angeles day schools, holds a B.A. in History from UCLA, an M.S. in Speech Pathology from Columbia University, and a J.D. from New York University School of Law. Using her parents, Dr. Morris and Eve Golomb, Z’L, as role models, Geri is devoted to Torah studies and to strengthening Torah institutions in L.A. She served as Chair of the Young Israel of Century City Board of Directors and directs the YICC annual Simchat Torah lecture series for women. Geri chaired the Yeshiva University High Schools of Los Angeles (YULA) Education Committee for over 18 years, and was a member of the Board of Directors of both YULA Boys’ and YULA Girls’ Schools. She has been teaching Tanach since 1998, currently for the Orthodox Union’s Women’s Torah Network, L.A. Geri has delivered many invited lectures at synagogues throughout Los Angeles. Geri and her husband, Dr. Isaac Wiener, have been members of Young Israel of Century City for over 30 years. They, B’H, have three children, three children-in-law, and six adorable grandchildren.
